Keri Lee

Keri is a consulting actuary in the general insurance field. She has recently graduated from Macquarie University with an Actuarial Studies and Applied Finance combined degree and is now forging her career in the actuarial division at PricewaterhouseCoopers. Keri is focusing on developing expertise in advising government workers compensation schemes, including NSW WorkCover and the NSW Self Insurance Corporation.

While working, Keri is continuing her studies for the final Part III specialist general insurance exams to become a fully qualified actuary. She is active in the actuarial community as one of the organisers of the Young Actuaries Program, an actuarial networking and seminar group similar to PDF. For her this was a natural transition from university where Keri held a number of senior positions in student societies including the Actuarial Students Society. She also worked part time as a tutor for the actuarial department at Macquarie University and developed a passion for teaching and interacting with her fellow peers and students.

Prior to starting her actuarial career, Keri gained expertise in the day-to-day running of a trade business which holds a 70 percent market share of storageware wholesaling in Sydney. She liaised with trade partners and product suppliers in Taiwan, as well as clients and logistics companies and has found this to be invaluable in developing client relationship skills.

Aside from work Keri loves being active and fills her weekends with hikes, fishing trips and early morning swims. She enjoys karaoke and hanging out at the beach with friends, and is looking forward to a trip to Fiji with some girlfriends in January.

If you see Keri at future PDFs, please feel free to introduce yourself and stop by for a chat.
